The Network is an alliance of like-minded individuals who are experimenting with publishing and spreading ideas through a series of topic specific sites, conferences, workshops and publications. Duane King is a designer, curator and writer who believes that although design is a profession, it’s above all a passion. Driven by curiosity, his work has been recognized by Graphis, The 100 Show, The Art Directors Club, I.D. Magazine, Communications Arts, Creative Review, IdN, Print and HOW Magazine. Among his clients: MoMA, Bloomingdale’s, Luigi Bormioli, Nambé, Orrefors, Kosta Boda, Neiman Marcus, Herman Miller, Northrop Grumman, Activision, Sega, id Software and FootAction USA. Duane is the founder of Thinking for a Living.

Shane Bzdok

The fact that his last name seems to be missing a few vowels might start to explain why Shane Bzdok embraces a ‘less is more’ approach to design. His love for clean, honest design and typography guides his award-winning print and interactive work for clients such as: Luigi Bormioli, Nambé, Northrop Grumman, Orrefors, Kosta Boda, The Museum of Modern Art and The Ritz-Carlton. Shane also runs the graphic design trivia feed, Design Facts and is a managing partner and contributor at Thinking for a Living.

Antonio Carusone

Waxing Crescent

Born in Queens, New York into a colorful Italian family, Antonio Carusone has been in the creative arts since he was a child. Currently he resides in New York City, where he is an Senior Art Director at Ogilvy, and oversees projects which have included Nestle, Cisco, Time Warner Cable, Lays, Dial, Red Stripe, AOL, NFL, Gillette, Cingular, Audi, Verizon, and Bank of America. He has also won Caple Design Awards for his work on Wisk and Jose Cuervo. Antonio is also the author of AisleOne and the ever-growing resource, The Grid System.

Waxing Crescent

Frank Chimero is an illustrator, designer, educator and writer in Portland, Oregon. His fascination with the creative process and visual experience informs all of his work. Each piece is the part of an exploration in finding wit, surprise, honesty and joy in the world around us. His work has been recognized by Print Magazine, HOW Magazine, Step Magazine, the Society of Illustrators and has been featured in numerous books.

Ian Coyle

Waxing Crescent

Ian Coyle is a creative strategist, designer, speaker, interaction developer and all-around decent fellow. He loves typography, photo journalism, the sound of presses running, the smell of ink, and newspapers. Ian collaborates with select brands to build quality, thoughtful, and relevant design. He also runs three letterpresses and enjoys shooting medium format photography.
