The Dieline Awards

The Dieline Awards, The Best of Show Detail

The Dieline is a wonderful resource that was established in 2007 by Andrew Gibbs. Dedicated to the progress of the package design industry and its practitioners, students and enthusiasts, the site is impeccably curated. We’ve been lucky enough to have a few of our packages featured there and within Box Bottle Bag.

New York based packaging, design, and architecture firm ESTABLISHED have designed a truly beautiful award for The Dieline Awards, their first ever competition. The Best of Show winner will receive the one and only white award, while 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive the award in chrome.

Liten Ljus Lager

Liten Ljus Lager

Liten Ljus Lager is truly of my favorite package designs — ever. This packaging was designed by Amore and is intended to appeal to the ‘trendy urbanite.’ While I hope I’m not defined by that term, it definitely catches my attention. Using two colors and nested L’s, this type driven package is simplicity at it’s best. Awarded with an Epica Bronze in 2005 for creative excellence.

Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co.

Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co.

Playful and intelligent, The Brooklyn Superhero Supply Company is a wonderful project that was created by 826 National, a network of youth tutoring and writing centers with locations in seven cities—San Francisco, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Boston, Chicago, Ann Arbor and Seattle. At the core of the organization is a dedication to helping students 6–18 with their English and writing skills. The idea when the organization started, back in 2002, was a simple one—provide one-on-one tutoring for students falling behind—but along the way there were some strange detours. Those detours led us to create odd storefronts that sold odder products—peg legs, robot emotions, caveman food, and space-travel underwear, among hundreds of other semi-useful things. The Brooklyn Superhero Supply Company was designed by the ever diligent Sam Potts.
